Imre Porcsalmy

IT Director, Normbenz

I have a degree in electrical engineering.
I started my career as a programmer for Ganz-MÁVAG in 1985, an era when development teams were usually made up of weird engineers. I participated in major financial development projects at several financial institutions, first as a developer, later as a business analyst and finally as a project manager. I have a private business founded together with some colleagues that still develops IT solutions to facilitate the lending activities of large Hungarian and Central European banks. This was my primary field of specialization.
I was invited to join Normbenz Hungary and Slovakia as Head of IT three years ago. This job opened up a whole new world to me. I believe that industries in general have a short supply of engineers with common sense, advanced problem-solving skills and sufficient experience to significantly enhance business efficiency.
The key focus of my work is to improve organizations’ efficiency using IT tools.
