The worldwide economy, business models, and the overall IT market are shifting under our feet. Innovative technology can make the difference between survival and extinction in this time of dramatic change. But that technology needs to be carefully selected and implemented and must be coupled with astute management practices. Only with this combination can enterprises build a solid foundation for future success.

Almost 60% of companies in the CEE region have not yet formed a digital transformation (DX) strategy, while the main goal for those that have is to improve automation and efficiency. Main drivers for DX initiatives in CEE companies include the adoption of new technologies used by partners and customers, the emergence of new business models, and — obviously — staying competitive in their market.
Following the huge success of the local editions of IDC CIO Summits across the CEE region, we're sure that you would not want to miss the chance to be part of the IDC CIO Summit 2018, taking place in Prague on April 26.

I enjoyed the event and appreciated its organization, selection of speakers, and guests. The keynotes were topical, informative, and presented very openly without any vendor bias but as objective reports and references about the given product, solution, or project and its benefits, downsides, and risks. For me, the most valuable element was being part of an open, professional discussion platform where people shared experience, presented news and trends, identified dead-end tracks, and so on.

It was my greatest pleasure to be part of such a well-managed event! I will be honored to continue as a member of the IDC CIO Forum Content Board. Thank you for the opportunity to spend a very productive day in such a high-level community of my peers.
Luboš Chládek, Member of the Board of Directors, ČEZ ICT Services
Honestly, I feared that the event will be mostly of an academic nature, but I was pleasantly surprised how practical and informative were the sessions I attended, and how honest the discussions among panelists were. Although most of the topics were covering primarily commercial entities, challenges discussed and the cases presented were very relevant for me as a public administration representative.
Petr Pavlinec, CIO, Krajský úřad, Kraj Vysočina
The IDC CIO Forum is an exclusive, high-level event that provides opportunities for CIOs to network with peers and discuss shared opportunities and challenges. C-level counterparts from a range of industries exchanged insights about their management experiences and offered practical guidance on how to overcome obstacles and implement change. The format of the event encouraged contacts and some friendships were created. The well-balanced program included real-life case studies and presentations from technology providers and seasoned experts on the latest industry advances.

The site on which the Czech National Bank now stands was, after King Wenceslas I founded the Old Town in 1230, located outside the town walls, between the two main entrances to the town: “Havelská brána” (St. Gall´s Gate – now the site of Můstek metro station) and “Odraná brána” (St. Ambrose´s Gate – roughly where the Powder Tower stands today). Despite the location of a square with a hay market in this area, the locality retained its rustic, edge-of-town character, adjacent to the town walls.
