Sam Ransbotham is an associate professor of information systems at the Carroll School of Business at Boston College, as well as guest editor for MIT Sloan Management Review’s Artificial Intelligence Big Ideas Initiative. In 2014, he was awarded an NSF Career Award for his analytics-based research in information security. His recent article, "Reshaping Business with Artificial Intelligence", provides baseline information on the strategies used by companies leading in AI, the prospects for its growth, and the steps executives need to take to develop a strategy for their business. Sam was awarded one of eleven inaugural Google and WPP Marketing Awards to support research into how online media influences consumer behavior, attitudes, and decision-making.
